Designed by then Gibson president Theodore “Ted” McCarty and only previously available as a limited-edition Custom Shop model, the Gibson Theodore Standard is based on drawings and notes created by Ted McCarty in 1957. Its features include a mahogany body, scimitar headstock with Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners, and double Florentine cutaways that provide unimpeded access to all 22 frets on the rosewood capped, SlimTaper™ mahogany neck. The balanced construction is exceptionally comfortable, and the powerful 57 Classic™ and 57 Classic Plus humbucker™ pickups produce effortless sustain and a rich diversity of tones. A hard-shell case is also included.
