Crafted with essential Gretsch hollow-body sound, style and playability, this exceptional instrument honours Gretsch's historic past while providing essential features for the modern player.

The G5420T-140 features a laminated maple body with vintage-inspired perimeters and refined arches, as well as trestle block bracing to help reduce unwanted feedback. By increasing rigidity and contact between the top and back of the body, the new trestle block design also results in the sound having a faster attack with more focus, snap, and increased sustain.

Loaded with the FT-5E Filter'Tron humbucking pickups, this hollow build's voice explodes with huge full-bodied punch, classic chime and enhanced presence, clarity and note definition.

The combination of individual pickup volume controls, master tone and master volume with treble bleed circuit provides intuitive global control over your pickup and tone settings

A Classic "C"-shaped maple neck offers a more comfortable playing feel for improved playability and performance and is topped with a 12"-radius laurel fingerboard.

The G5420T-140 features a striking 2-Tone Pearl Platinum over Stone Platinum finish with matching pickguard and pickup bezels, chrome hardware, and a matching headstock with commemorative 140th Anniversary head plaque.
