Akai Professional has retained the compact 10.1-inch footprint while upgrading the internal architecture to support more demanding projects and faster workflow. The unit runs its own operating system and ships with 10GB of sounds, placing beat-making tools in a self-contained hardware package that connects directly to speakers or headphones. The 8-core processor drives 128 tracks with up to 8 stereo outputs, allowing complex arrangements to run without audio dropouts or latency spikes. Onboard storage expands via SD card, and the machine reads samples from USB drives for quick library access. The 7-inch multi-touch display responds to gestures familiar from tablet interfaces, and 16 velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads capture dynamic performance data.
