The standout innovation is the Tri-Pivot Toe Clamp, which uses three independent, 360-degree rotating rubber pads to grip bass drum hoops of varying diameter and thickness from both top and bottom, eliminating slippage entirely.

The 5002's mechanical architecture centres on the Dual-Chain Accelerator Drive system, which employs eccentric sprocket motion to shorten footboard stroke whilst increasing velocity and sensitivity. A Dual-Bearing Spring Rocker augments the responsiveness and smoothness established in earlier iterations. The pedal features a Delta Ball-Bearing Hinge and aluminium hex shafts, pedal plates, and linkages throughout.
