The Traditional series balances Old World cymbal-making methods with the projection and clarity required in contemporary drum kits. B20 bronze-a blend of 80% copper and 20% tin-forms the foundation of this splash, contributing to its warm fundamental tone and complex overtone structure. Hand-hammering imparts surface tension and irregular thickness gradients across the six-inch diameter, shaping both attack and decay characteristics. The cymbal produces a punchy initial transient followed by a washy spread that dissipates rapidly, typical of smaller splash diameters. Unlathed sections retain some of the raw bell tonality, while worked areas open up the sound for faster response.
