Polyend's Drums is a hybrid analog-digital drum machine built around studio-grade components and real-time control. Four analogue voices pair SSI2130 oscillators with SSI2140 filters and dedicated noise sources, while digital instruments add FM, wavetable, physical modelling, and sample synthesis. The centrepiece is an 8-track sequencer with up to 64 steps, pattern chaining, probability, and generative tools that move well beyond basic step playback into expressive composition and live performance. The silver unit features a single-piece aluminium body with custom metal knobs and runs dual-core processing at 96 kHz, 32-bit floating point internally. Each analogue voice stacks dual VCOs plus a digital oscillator for hybrid layering or FM modulation, all shaped through multimode filters and voltage-controlled amplifiers. Fifty instruments with over 500 mutations, eight independent LFOs, three effects groups (send, insert, and master), and individual audio outputs allow deep sound design and external processing. The X0Y fader morphs kits and triggers fills in real time without stopping playback, while parameter locks and micro-timing keep rhythmic ideas precise. Connectivity includes MIDI, individual voice outputs, and an audio input for processing external sources through the onboard effects processor. Sequenced insert effects turn processing into rhythmic elements rather than post-production add-ons. The dual-processor architecture delivers fast response and enough headroom for complex synthesis, sequencing, and effects running simultaneously—essential for bedroom producers, touring musicians, and studio engineers working at the centre of their own rig. Features  Four analogue voices with SSI2130 oscillators and SSI2140 filters Eight tracks, 64 steps per track, 48 song arrangements with chaining 50 instruments with 500+ mutations across analogue, FM, VA, WT, samples Eight independent LFOs with 29 waveforms for modulation and sound design Three effects groups: send, insert (sequenceable per track), and master chain Dual-core CPU processing at 96 kHz, 32-bit floating point Individual audio outputs for each voice and external MIDI connectivity X0Y fader for real-time morphing, fills, and pattern switching without stopping
