Earthquaker Devices Scrolls Bass Odyssey

The Earthquaker Devices Scrolls is a dual-footswitch bass preamp and overdrive designed to deliver both clean tonal shaping and saturated grit in a single enclosure. Two independent channels, Clean and Overdrive, can be engaged separately or stacked together for a wide range of tonal possibilities. The Clean channel provides transparent EQ sculpting with bass, treble, and presence controls, while the Overdrive channel adds harmonic saturation through a three-band EQ and dedicated gain stage. Switchable effects loop placement allows integration of external pedals before or after the preamp section. Both channels feature independent level controls and active three-band EQ sections, with the Overdrive channel offering bass, middle, and treble adjustment alongside a dedicated gain knob. The presence control on the Clean channel adds high-frequency clarity without harshness. A global effects loop with send and return jacks can be assigned to sit before the preamp stage or in the traditional post-preamp position via an internal switch. True bypass switching ensures signal integrity when disengaged, and the pedal runs on standard 9V DC power with a centre-negative barrel connector drawing approximately 15mA.
