Developed in collaboration with Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, this fuzz and octave pedal reimagines the classic '70s Foxy Tone Box circuit with a custom octave-up switching system that offers both latching and momentary control. The Warm Audio Peach Fuzz honours the original flocked velvet aesthetic but wraps the compact enclosure in shag peach velvet, celebrating the band's 2026 album Peaches! Hand-assembled in Austin, Texas, using NOS Fairchild 2N3565 transistors, Germanium 1N34A diodes, high-watt carbon resistors, and film capacitors, this pedal delivers authentic vintage saturation from subdued crunch to searing fuzz with octave-up solo tones. The control layout includes volume, sustain, and a mellow/brite voice toggle for shaping fuzz character from low-gain grit to thick, saturated sludge. The octave sustain switch engages the octave-up effect, while a momentary/hold control lets players kick in soaring octave tones for riffs and solos without latching the effect permanently. True bypass operation preserves signal integrity when disengaged, and gold-plated PCB pads ensure reliable connectivity. Powered by a 9V battery or standard centre-negative 9V DC adapter, the pedal draws just 1.5mA and measures 5.5" long by 3.3" wide by 2.3" high, weighing 0.8 lbs. The circuit faithfully recreates the thick, psychedelic fuzz tones of the original '70s pedal, delivering the chunky saturation and octave-up magic that defined the era. Stack it with overdrive pedals for aggressive metal textures, or use the momentary octave control to add bite to leads without committing to the effect for entire passages. The red LED power indicator confirms operation, while 1/4" input and output jacks provide standard connections to guitars and amplifiers.
