Every Desert StoryLines ukulele is the result of a unique collaboration between Kala Brand Music and Australian Aboriginal artists, honouring their culture and storytelling through authentic artwork. A portion of each sale goes directly to the artist and their community, helping preserve their traditions and support ongoing creativity.

The “Bushfoods” ukulele showcases original artwork by Margaret Bloomfield, an Aboriginal artist from Santa Teresa, a remote community about 100 km southeast of Alice Springs. Her painting celebrates the native bushfoods of the desert — like passionfruit, known as ‘Arruntene,’ and bush banana, called ‘Alangkwe.’ These fruits symbolise sustenance, survival, and the deep, enduring bond between people and the land.
