The Epiphone Jeff Beck Oxblood 1954 Les Paul recreates the legendary guitarist's heavily modified 1954 original that graced the cover of Blow by Blow and sold at auction for $1.3 million. Developed in collaboration with Gibson Custom, this tribute captures the tonal character and aesthetic of Beck's iconic Oxblood guitar. The mahogany body with maple cap delivers the classic Les Paul resonance, while the one-piece mahogany neck features a long tenon and Jeff Beck Custom Large C profile for enhanced sustain and that signature playing feel. USA-made Gibson Custombucker humbuckers power the guitar, wired in authentic 50s style to CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors for period-correct response. The rosewood fretboard carries 22 medium jumbo frets with aged mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays. Grover Rotomatic tuners with spade buttons mount to the Gibson open book headstock, fitted with a Graph Tech low-friction nut. Gold Speed knobs, a gap-positioned Les Paul pickguard above the bridge pickup, and a Gibson Historic Wraparound bridge replicate the original's distinctive appointments down to the smallest details. This limited-time release ships in an Epiphone hardshell case with Inspired by Gibson Custom graphics and includes a vintage-style replica strap. The chocolate brown/oxblood finish honours the finish that became synonymous with Beck's eight Grammy Awards and groundbreaking work across rock, blues, and jazz fusion.
