The Fender Limited Edition '70s Telecaster® Custom Journeyman Relic is a faithful recreation of the iconic 1972 Telecaster Custom, enhanced with modern refinements for today's players. Combining classic aesthetics with player-centric upgrades, this guitar blends vintage tone with superior playability.
The two-piece select ash body is finished in a Journeyman Relic lacquer, giving it a lightly aged appearance that captures the feel of a well-loved instrument. The quartersawn AA flame maple neck features a comfortable oval "C" profile, a tinted nitrocellulose lacquer finish, and a round-laminated rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5" radius and 21 narrow tall frets.
Electronics include a hand-wound Custom Shop Original Blackguard Tele bridge pickup and a wide-range CuNiFe humbucker in the neck position. These pickups are wired to independent 250k (bridge) and 500k (neck) volume and tone controls for optimal tonal balance, with a three-way toggle switch for versatile pickup selection.
Additional features include a three-saddle '67 Telecaster bridge with threaded steel saddles, vintage-style "F" stamped tuning machines, a black three-ply pickguard, and knurled dome control knobs. The guitar comes with a deluxe hardshell case and a Certificate of Authenticity.
