Gibson's ES Supreme in Ebony represents a full reimagining of the iconic ES-335 platform, built to satisfy players demanding genuine tonal and aesthetic versatility. The two-pickup configuration pairs a Burstbucker® Rhythm Pro neck pickup with a Burstbucker Lead Pro+ bridge pickup, each equipped with push/pull coil-splitting controls that expand the instrument's sonic range without adding complexity. A solid maple centreline runs through the 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body, engineering sustain and feedback resistance in equal measure.
Construction centres on a mahogany neck shaped to Gibson's comfortable Rounded C profile, topped with a bound ebony fretboard sporting a 10"–16" compound radius and 22 medium jumbo frets. The Super Split Block mother-of-pearl inlays deliver visual refinement, whilst stability comes from Graph Tech® nut work, gold-plated Grover® Rotomatic® locking tuners with keystone buttons, and an aluminium Nashville Tune-O-Matic® bridge paired with a Stop Bar tailpiece. A 43.05 mm bone nut and 628.65 mm scale length (22 frets) provide the foundation for precise intonation and consistent playability across the range.
The ES Supreme's command-ready control layout–dual push/pull volumes for coil tapping plus dual tone controls–lets players dial from vintage warmth to aggressive cut without tap-dancing mid-set. This is a no-compromise instrument for touring performers and session players who refuse to sacrifice feel, sound, or visual authority. A modern collection hardshell case is included.
