The Gibson J-45 Standard offers a voice defined by impressive mids, and a focused, punchy bass. It now features new Gibson-exclusive HiFi DNA TM electronics for exceptional plugged-in sound.Crafted with a round-shoulder dreadnought body, the J-45 Standard pairs solid mahogany sides with solid Sitka spruce top for the unmistakable tone heard across decades of recordings. Multi-ply binding accents the top, while the back is finished with single-ply binding. The mahogany neck features a fast, comfortable SlimTaper TM profile and is joined to the body with a compound dovetail joint and hot hide glue, enhancing sustain and resonance. The rosewood fretboard carries 20 standard frets and is inlaid with classic mother-of-pearl dots. At the headstock, a mother-of-pearl Gibson logo is joined by premium Grover@ Rotomatic@ tuners and a TUSQ@ nut, delivering smooth performance and dependable tuning stability.A rosewood belly-up bridge fitted with a TUSQ saddle and bridge pins anchors the strings, while a teardrop tortoiseshell pickguard and gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish complete the timeless look that has defined the model since its debut.The J-45 Standard is now fitted with the all-new Gibson-exclusive Baggs TM HiFi DNA TM pickup system.
