The Gibson Hummingbird Special in left-handed configuration brings one of the company's most recognisable acoustic models to southpaw players in a streamlined, stage-ready format. Handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana, this square-shouldered dreadnought features a solid Sitka spruce top over solid mahogany back and sides, delivering the warm, balanced tone the Hummingbird lineage is known for. The concert-depth body sits slightly thinner than the standard model, offering tighter bass response and improved comfort during extended playing sessions.

The utile neck joins the body via compound dovetail joint secured with hot hide glue, topped with a rosewood fretboard carrying 20 frets and the signature pearloid parallelogram inlays across its 12" radius. Scalloped X-bracing reinforces the top, whilst the traditional belly-up rosewood bridge hosts a TUSQ saddle matched by TUSQ nut and bridge pins. Grover Rotomatic tuners handle tuning duties, and the satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish in ebony maintains the bare wood feel players expect from natural finishes.

An L.R. Baggs Element Bronze under-saddle piezo pickup and active preamp come factory-installed, with soundhole-mounted volume control providing quick access during performance.
