The Gibson Left-Handed L-00 Special brings the iconic small-body acoustic platform to left-handed players without compromise. Built by Gibson's acoustic luthiers in Bozeman, Montana, this USA-made instrument offers genuine solid mahogany back and sides paired with a solid Sitka spruce top, all finished in satin nitrocellulose lacquer. The narrower waist of the L-00 body shape delivers a focused, articulate response with naturally tight bass that sits beautifully in ensemble settings, particularly excelling with fingerstyle and blues applications.
The utile neck features Gibson's SlimTaper™ profile and joins the body via a compound dovetail joint affixed with hot hide glue. A rosewood fretboard with 12" radius hosts 19 standard frets and mother-of-pearl dot inlays, while the closed slot rectangular rosewood bridge carries a TUSQ® saddle alongside TUSQ nut and bridge pins. Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners provide dependable tuning stability. Factory electronics include an L.R. Baggs™ Element Bronze active under-saddle piezo pickup and preamp, controlled via soundhole-mounted volume knob. Ships with a premium soft shell case.
