Gibson's Victory Figured Top resurrects an 80s cult classic, answering player requests for its return with a thoroughly modernised platform. The mahogany body sports an AA figured maple cap finished in gloss nitrocellulose, whilst the refined body contours and improved weight distribution make it a genuine step forward from the original. An Explorer® headstock sits atop a mahogany neck with ebony fretboard, compound radius, and SlimTaper® profile—24 medium jumbo frets span a 25.5" scale length.
Two 80s Tribute humbuckers power the electronics, routed through a master volume with push/pull coil splitting and master tone with push/pull inner–outer coil selection. This architecture delivers humbucking and single–coil tonal flexibility without cluttering the control plate. A three–way pickup selector switch completes the switching array. The Tune–O–Matic® bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece ensure solid intonation and sustain, whilst single–ply fretboard binding adds visual refinement. A Gibson hardshell case is included.
The push–pull control scheme rewards players who want tonal range without the visual or tactile complexity of traditional multi–position switches. Session players and touring performers benefit from a streamlined interface that responds reliably night after night, whilst bedroom producers appreciate the inner–coil selection for sculpting both high–gain and clean textures within a single pickup.
