The Martin M-28 returns the classic Grand Auditorium body shape to the Standard Series, pairing the wide lower bout projection of a larger guitar with the 000-depth comfort and balance that makes this format so popular. Built around a solid spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides, it delivers the crisp articulation, deep bass response, and rich overtone complexity Martin is known for. The GE-inspired scalloped spruce X-bracing lifts directly from the Modern Deluxe Series, adding responsiveness across all six strings. The 25.4" scale length pairs with a GE Modified Low Oval neck profile and 1 3/4" nut width, offering familiar dimensions for fingerstyle and flatpicking alike. Ebony fingerboard and bridge anchor the tonal foundation, with a bone saddle transferring string energy efficiently. Twenty frets span the fingerboard, inlaid with the Diamonds Squares Long pattern in abalone.
