Sigma's S00R-42S is a 00-size parlour acoustic built around a solid Adirondack spruce top paired with Indian rosewood back and sides. The 25.4” scale length (645 mm) and 1-3/4” nut width define a compact, responsive instrument suited to fingerstyle and hybrid playing. Dovetail neck joinery and a two-way truss rod in mahogany underscore construction intent; the low-profile neck profile reduces fatigue across longer sessions.
Hardware and hardware materials carry real weight here. Grover Gold side-mount tuners with butterbean knobs ensure stable pitch retention, whilst bone nut and saddle preserve tonal clarity across the spectrum. The ebony fingerboard and bridge resist wear and dimensional shift, critical for an instrument rated to tour. AA-grade spruce top breathing through a polished gloss finish with ageing toner yields a warm, settled voice–not bright or glassy. D'Addario EXP16 strings ship pre-installed, and a softshell SSC-0012 case is included.
