Behringer AKS Mini 3-VCO Analog Poly w/ Step Sequencer

The Behringer AKS Mini is a polyphonic analogue synthesiser that condenses 1970s AKS architecture into a battery-powered, USB-C compatible format. At its core are three voltage-controlled oscillators with variable saw and square waveforms, feeding a resonant filter circuit modelled on the original AKS VCF topology. The 16-step motion sequencer records knob movements across 10 memory slots, while a two-axis X/Y joystick provides tactile control over modulation and expression. The analogue signal path runs through authentic VCO, VCF and VCA designs, maintaining the character of the original circuitry. An LFO offers four waveforms for pitch and filter cutoff modulation, while the envelope generator shapes both amplitude and tonal response. The 27-key touch-sensitive keyboard responds to velocity and aftertouch. MIDI implementation includes NRPN and CC control of all parameters, plus bulk load and save functionality. Spring reverb emulation adds space without requiring outboard processing.
