The Fender Studio Motion 16 is a production and performance pad controller designed to integrate tightly with Fender Studio Pro while maintaining compatibility across all major DAWs. At its core are 16 velocity-sensitive FATAR pads that adapt their function based on context-switching between drum triggering, melodic input, and chord voicing depending on the task at hand. Nine illuminated encoders provide tactile control over playback, editing, and mixing parameters, while a colour display delivers instant visual feedback. The built-in timeline navigation and dedicated Add button allow users to insert instruments, audio tracks, or effects without interrupting the creative process. The controller's Smart Scale and Smart Chords features enable melodic and harmonic experimentation without requiring theoretical knowledge, drawing from a library of over 30 chord progressions. An expressive touch strip offers real-time control over modulation, pitch bend, and effects parameters. Hardware integration extends the Motion 16's reach beyond software, allowing direct communication with external synthesisers, drum machines, and modular rigs.
