The Nord Electro 7 73–Note is a stage–ready performance keyboard built on three decades of Nord's synthesis and sampling heritage. This 73–key semi–weighted waterfall action model combines the organ engine from the acclaimed Nord Organ 3 with substantially revised piano and newly designed synth sections. Handcrafted in Sweden, it's engineered for touring musicians who demand expressive control, authentic tonewheel character, and genuine synthesis flexibility in a streamlined, lightweight chassis.
The Organ Section features updated transistor organ models with physical drawbars, LED indicators, and a new rotary speaker offering selectable microphone positions alongside slow/fast and stop functions. The Piano Section gains Dynamic Compression and Unison modes for presence and power, whilst the Synth Section delivers sample playback, analogue and FM synthesis, legato and mono modes, glide, unison, vibrato, and full ADR envelope control for both amplifier and filter with resonance and FM partials. Effects include per–section compression, ring modulation, vibe, and a global reverb with optional per–layer send, supported by new Suitcase and Brit amplifier models.
The updated Programme Section introduces a colour display and Live Mode for smooth, real–time programme changes during performance. Push encoders throughout the control surface streamline navigation between sounds and editing parameters, whilst the lightweight, stage–ready build ensures the Electro 7 remains portable without sacrificing hands–on workflow or tonal depth across all three engine types.
