Novation FLkey 49 Mk2 49-Key MIDI Keyboard for FL Studio Integration

The Novation FLkey 49 Mk2 is a 49-key MIDI controller designed specifically for FL Studio, officially supported by Image-Line as the only keyboard built from the ground up for that workflow. Its 730mm-wide chassis houses semi-weighted piano-style keys alongside 16 velocity-sensitive RGB pads, eight endless encoders, and nine faders. Transport controls, arpeggiator access, and dedicated FL Studio functions sit within immediate reach. A 128 x 64 monochrome OLED display provides visual feedback during programming and performance. The semi-weighted keybed responds to velocity across four octaves, with octave shift buttons extending range. Sixteen RGB pads handle drum programming and sample triggering across two banks, while eight encoders span two pages for parameter control. Nine faders with dedicated buttons and two mixer bank switches allow channel-level mixing without touching the mouse. Scale Mode offers 30 built-in scales, and three Chord Modes-Chord Map, Fixed Chord, and User Chord-enable harmonic work directly from the keyboard. The arpeggiator includes a step editor for pattern creation. USB-C connectivity provides both power and bidirectional MIDI communication, with 5-pin MIDI out and a quarter-inch sustain pedal input expanding hardware integration. Custom DAW scripts integrate with FL Studio 21.0.3 and later, mapping transport, mixer banks, Channel Rack navigation, and pattern/song switching to dedicated hardware controls. HUI protocol compatibility extends control to other DAW platforms. The controller ships with six months of FL Studio software and weighs 4.08kg. A 1.5m USB Type-C to Type-A cable is included, and the unit draws power exclusively from the USB bus without requiring an external supply.
