Behringer SC88 StageConnect 8-In/8-Out XLR Interface

Eight TRIAD mic preamps and eight ESS DAC-powered line outputs share a single 1U rack chassis in the Behringer SC88 StageConnect 8-In/8-Out XLR Interface, turning one StageConnect cable into a complete bidirectional I/O node. Each input appears on a balanced combo jack with individually switchable 48V phantom power, while the eight balanced XLR outputs handle the return path with high-performance conversion. The TRIAD preamps deliver high common-mode rejection and stable performance across varying source impedances, with 0.5 dB analog gain steps for precise level control. StageConnect transmits 32 channels of bidirectional audio at 44.1/48 kHz and 24 bits over standard 3-pin XLR or DMX cable, with sub-millisecond latency across the entire signal path. Ultranet input and output ports sit alongside the audio connections, and remote power runs over the same cable that carries the audio. Gain and preamp settings adjust remotely from any StageConnect-enabled console or via the desktop control panel over USB, keeping hands off the rack during setup or performance. MIDI command transmission flows between the SC88 and other Behringer StageConnect products like the SC-U USB interface, keeping control data on the same infrastructure as the audio. A stage piano's stereo output and MIDI performance data can travel to a DAW simultaneously, or the DAW can send patch-change commands back to the instrument, all riding on a single XLR cable run.
