The Neumann KH150 is a DSP-powered bi-amplified studio monitor designed to deliver reference-class accuracy with extended low-frequency response down to 39 Hz. Its 6.5-inch high-precision woofer in a front-ported bass reflex cabinet combines with a 1-inch tweeter to produce exceptional clarity across the full frequency spectrum. The internal DSP engine linearises phase response between 105 Hz and 16 kHz, enabling precise impulse reproduction and finely resolved reverb tails that analog crossovers cannot achieve. The KH150 employs Neumann's Mathematically Modelled Dispersion waveguide for a wide sweet spot and minimal desk reflections, while maintaining frequency linearity within 0.8 dB tolerances for razor-sharp stereo imaging. Bi-amplification delivers 145 W to the woofer and 100 W to the tweeter, reaching maximum SPL of 118.7 dB at 1 metre in half-space conditions. The monitor supports room-adaptive calibration via the separately sold MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment system, addressing acoustic anomalies through DSP correction. Connectivity includes XLR analog input, S/PDIF digital input and output, plus AES67 network audio with ST 2110 compliance and ST 2022-7 redundancy over dual Ethernet ports. This white finish variant suits immersive and surround setups through tonal compatibility with other KH line monitors, allowing mixed configurations across multiple listening positions. The patent-pending Class D amplifier topology combines high output power with energy efficiency, consuming just 17 W at idle and 0.3 W in auto-standby mode. Digital signal routing accommodates analog, S/PDIF left, S/PDIF right, and AES67 sources, with latency under 2.6 ms via analog input. Independent limiters protect the woofer and tweeter from thermal overload and excursion damage during extended high-SPL operation.
