The supercardioid pattern makes it especially useful for close-miking high-SPL sources like hi-hats, drum overheads, and cymbals where bleed control is critical. The capsule shares the sE8's exceptionally low self-noise and high dynamic range, pairing a balanced sonic character with a sophisticated backplate design that maintains clarity across the frequency spectrum. The capsule integrates directly with the sE8 microphone body, which provides dual attenuation pads (10dB and 20dB) and two low-cut filters (80Hz and 160Hz) to manage proximity effect and shield against mechanical rumble.
