The Zoom H6studio redefines portable recording with a combination of studio-grade preamps, precision XY microphones, and advanced 32-bit float recording. Built on Zoom’s renowned F-Series technology, it’s the most capable Handy Recorder ever made. At its core are four ultra-low-noise preamps delivering a pristine –127 dBu EIN and dual A/D converters that deliver an impressive 132 dB of dynamic range. The onboard large-diaphragm 19.4 mm XY microphones are positioned at a fixed 90° angle, providing natural stereo imaging while minimizing phase cancellation. They capture everything from subtle acoustic textures to extreme sources up to 140 dB SPL without distortion.

The H6studio combines the flexibility of 32-bit float recording—which prevents clipping—with the immediacy of dedicated gain knobs, eliminating the need for post-production adjustments. A format switch allows quick changes between 32-bit float and 16/24-bit recording, supporting sample rates from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz. You can record up to eight tracks simultaneously (six individual plus a stereo mix) for professional multitrack sessions anywhere.

Additional refinements include RF shielding to block interference, shock-mounted microphones to reduce handling noise, and advanced look-ahead limiters that prevent overloads before they occur. The 3.0 capsule system supports 32-bit float operation and allows easy swapping of mic capsules. When not in use, the included connector cover keeps the port protected.
