The Blackstar Fly 3 High Gain is a 3-watt battery-powered micro amp engineered specifically for high-gain tones. This edition replaces the standard Fly 3's clean channel with a dedicated overdrive voice modelled on Blackstar's Infinite Shape Feature circuitry. The patented ISF control sweeps between American and British gain characteristics, letting players dial in everything from classic crunch to saturated modern metal. Two 3-inch full-range drivers deliver stereo width that belies the cabinet's compact footprint. The amplifier runs on six AA batteries or the included 9V power supply, drawing 3 watts into dual speakers for surprising volume in bedroom and busking applications. Tape delay-based effects add ambience without muddying the preamp's tight low-end response. A cabinet-emulated line output and MP3 input allow silent practice with backing tracks through headphones. The control panel houses gain, volume, ISF, and delay time knobs across a brushed fascia measuring 170mm wide. An extension speaker output expands the rig to stereo when paired with a second Fly unit.
