The industrial magic of Erica Synths meets the mutant circuitry of Hexinverter in the HexDrums — a fully analog drum machine born from a deep respect for classic designs and forward-thinking innovation. Combining the sonic range of Hexinverter’s Mutant series with Erica Synths’ bold aesthetic, it delivers pure analog power with modern performance flexibility.
At its core are ten sound sources inspired by the acclaimed Mutant percussion modules, including two kick drums (BD9 and Bass Drum), Mutant Machine, Snare, Clap, Rimshot, HiHats and Erica Synths Cymbals loaded with crash and ride samples. Together they form an expansive and characterful rhythm section with distinct analog grit and punch.
Every sound can be individually routed thanks to dedicated outputs, while the master section offers stereo panning, compression and drive derived from the legendary Mutant Glue circuit. The result is a cohesive, powerful soundstage capable of everything from precise electronic pulses to gritty industrial grooves.
The X0X-style sequencer keeps things hands-on and intuitive, offering up to 64-step pattern programming with real-time control over accents, microtiming, ratchets, rolls and per-step probability. With 16 banks of 16 patterns, a Song Mode and USB backup, the HexDrums is as reliable on stage as it is in the studio.
