Designed by DW in California, this 7-piece shell pack brings European Maple shells and high-end hardware innovations to a drumkit built for large stages and serious projection. The PDP Concept Maple Series delivers the punchy attack and warm resonance maple is known for, with a 7-ply construction on mounted toms and a 10-ply snare that comes fitted with DW's trusted MAG throw-off. The Satin Olive finish ply gives the kit a distinctive look, while the 18x22" bass drum anchors a configuration that includes 7x8", 8x10", and 9x12" mounted toms, 12x14" and 14x16" floor toms, and a 5.5x14" snare drum. DW's patented Suspension Tom Mount system isolates the mounted toms to reduce shell tension and increase sustain, while the bass drum uses die-cast, low-mass claw hooks that minimise interference with the shell's natural resonance. True-Pitch tuning rods feature 20% more threads than standard tension rods, giving precise control over tuning intervals and drum response. The snare comes with chromed snare wires using carbon steel coils and chrome end plates, and graduated counter hoops are fitted across the entire kit. Each drum arrives with Remo heads factory-installed, ready to tune and play straight from the case.
