Raw, dark and dirty bite meets innovative design in the Sabian 11800XEB HHX 18" Evolution Series O–Zone Crash Cymbal, where six strategically placed 2" holes create a sound that's both visually striking and sonically distinctive.

Born from Sabian's 2002 collaboration with renowned drummer Dave Weckl, the Evolution line made quite a splash when it debuted on the market. The O–Zone crashes stand out as the totally cool centrepiece of this series, featuring six large holes piercing the circumference of each cymbal. These perforations aren't just for show – they fundamentally alter the cymbal's sonic character.

The Evolution cymbals surprised many with their brighter, thinner tonality than what was initially expected from the Weckl–Sabian collaboration. This Canadian cymbal company's innovative approach created instruments that are both visually and aurally captivating, offering drummers a unique voice in their cymbal setup.

Professional drummers who rely on this distinctive sound include Daniel Adair from Nickelback, independent artists Enzo Bacino and Jovol "Bam Bam" Bell, plus Mike Bennett who has worked with Richie Kotzen and Sayers Club.
