Developed with drummer Todd Sucherman, it blends the dark, complex character of the Artisan series with the brightness and cut of AAX cymbals. The result is a smoky, rich fundamental tone layered with crystalline high-end shimmer that cuts through overhead and close microphone placement without muddiness. Cast from B20 bronze, this 19 crash delivers a buttery feel and smooth attack that responds musically to dynamics. The voice sits between Sabian's darker and brighter palettes, making it especially effective in recording environments where cymbal tone is under scrutiny. Paired across the four available sizes (18, 20, 22), each cymbal is individually voiced yet designed to interact with the others, revealing new tonal textures in combination—much like tuned piano notes stacked together.
