EVH 5150 Series Deluxe Baked Maple

The 5150® Series DX brings back the legendary spirit of Eddie Van Halen's iconic guitar with a modern twist that's built for players who demand speed, comfort and uncompromising tone. This reimagined classic features a modified Strat®‐style basswood body with a deeper upper body curve, paired with a graphite‐reinforced bolt‐on quartersawn baked maple neck that sports a comfortable modified "C" profile and hand‐rubbed satin urethane finish. The 12?‐16? compound radius baked maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets and black dot inlays provides smooth, fast playability across the entire neck, while the heel‐mount truss rod adjustment wheel and "hockey stick" headstock with EVH® logo complete the authentic aesthetic.

Unlike the original single‐pickup striped model, this all‐new 5150 DX comes loaded with custom‐designed EVH® Wolfgang® Alnico 2 humbuckers in both bridge and neck positions, controlled by a three‐way toggle switch. The bridge pickup offers punchy articulation with sweet sustain and thick rhythms in a balanced EQ curve, while the neck pickup serves up powerful overdrive with endless sustain that cleans up beautifully when you roll back the volume. A custom low‐friction volume pot creates smooth volume swells, and the high‐friction tone knob stays put even when accidentally bumped. The lower bout kill switch adds a new dimension for stutter and rhythmic effects‐perfect for nailing those classic Van Halen moments.

The EVH‐branded top‐mount Floyd Rose® locking tremolo system is certified for "dive‐bomb" action and includes fine tuners for each string, plus the patented EVH D‐Tuna® that lets you switch between drop‐D and standard tuning instantly. Complete with EVH®‐branded Gotoh® tuning machines, chrome hardware, and EVH® nickel plated steel strings (.009‐.042), this guitar comes with an EVH® black gig bag, with an optional EVH® striped hardshell case available separately.
