The Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s represents a return to the Golden Era design language that established this model as one of the world's most recognisable electric guitars. This Racing Green example pairs a non-weight-relieved solid mahogany body with an AA figured maple top, delivering the harmonic depth and sustain that defined early 1960s construction. The SlimTaper™ mahogany neck profile balances fast playability with ergonomic comfort across extended sessions, while the bound Indian rosewood fretboard features 22 medium jumbo frets and acrylic trapezoid inlays.
The 12" fretboard radius accommodates both open position chord work and string bends further up the neck without choking or tonal degradation. Hardware centres on a classic ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™ bridge paired with an aluminium Stop Bar tailpiece and Grover® Rotomatic® tuning machines, all contributing to stable intonation. The signal path runs through two 60s Burstbucker™ pickups loaded with Alnico 5 magnets, hand-wired to individual volume and tone controls using audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop® capacitors. A 3-way toggle allows individual pickup selection or blending in any ratio, whilst gold Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors complete the authentic 60s aesthetic. A hardshell case provides protection during storage and transport.
