Maton's RM-6 Redwood Mini is a small-body acoustic-electric that refuses to play small. Built from sustainably harvested Redwood (Sequoia Sempervirens) top and Tasmanian Myrtle back and sides, this 22.7 scale guitar delivers complex tonal character that belies its compact footprint. The combination produces a stronger treble presence and dynamic response than Western Red Cedar, with the Myrtle adding warmth and sustain that rewards subtle playing technique variations. Construction centres on Queensland Maple neck and Streaky Ebony fretboard, with 19 frets across a 12 radius and 1.736 nut width. Chrome Grover Rotomatic machine heads ensure tuning stability, whilst the integrated AP5 PRO pickup system handles amplification duties without compromising acoustic tone. Bone nut and saddle, double-X bracing, and a 90mm soundhole optimise resonance. The guitar ships with a standard Mini Hardcase and Elixir Nanoweb strings (13-56 gauge).
