PRS SE Silver Sky Defender Ltd Edition

Woolstone Green from the contemporary Defender colour palette gives this limited-edition SE Silver Sky a visual character unlike any previous Silver Sky model. Developed in collaboration with John Mayer and Defender, this PRS SE electric guitar pairs one of four exclusive Defender finishes with a black pickguard-a first for the Silver Sky line-and includes a custom neck plate and gig bag specific to this run. The SE Silver Sky Defender retains the bolt-on construction, player-focused ergonomics, and tonal response that define the Silver Sky platform, now wrapped in a finish drawn from Defender's archive of over 900 colours spanning decades of automotive history. The SE Silver Sky Defender maintains the core specifications that make the Silver Sky a working musician's instrument: three single-coil pickups, a 635mm scale length, and a tremolo bridge calibrated for tuning stability under stage conditions. The bolt-on maple neck and poplar body construction deliver the snap and clarity expected from this model, while the black pickguard against Woolstone Green creates a striking contrast that sets this limited edition apart. PRS has engineered the SE series to provide the feel and playability of the core Silver Sky design at a more accessible price point, and this Defender edition carries that same commitment to playability with the added distinction of a finish sourced from outside the guitar world. Available through an order window running from September 15, 2026 through June 30, 2027, this limited run brings together two design philosophies centred on function and inspiration. The Defender Color Collection positions the SE Silver Sky as both a working tool and a statement piece, with build quality calibrated for repeated gigging and a finish that references the industrial design heritage Mayer has long admired. The included custom gig bag completes the package, providing protection that matches the limited-edition status of the instrument itself.
