The Yamaha MODX M7 is a lightweight 73-key synthesizer that delivers the power of the flagship MONTAGE M in a compact, portable format. Its semi-weighted keyboard provides a responsive feel for expressive playing and fast synth work alike. MODX M7 combines three sound engines FM-X, AN-X, and AWM2 offering a deep and versatile sound palette. FM-X delivers complex, evolving tones through advanced frequency modulation synthesis. AN-X recreates the warmth and behavior of analog circuits, while AWM2 provides realistic sampled instruments with high-quality detail. Yamaha s Motion Control system allows real-time shaping of tone and dynamics, while Seamless Sound Switching (SSS) ensures smooth transitions between sounds perfect for live performance. The MODX M6 also features a built-in 4-in/10-out USB audio interface, includes a Cubase AI license for music production, and from January 2026, it will support an Expanded Softsynth VST plugin for complete software integration.
