The Allen Heath AHM-16 is a 16x16 audio matrix processor engineered for single-room installations and compact multi-zone environments including bars, restaurants, retail spaces and educational venues. This matrix delivers comprehensive DSP on every input and output, from 8-band parametric EQ and dynamics to full speaker management with crossover filters, All-Pass Filters and limiters. Eight mic/line inputs and eight relay-protected line outputs use Phoenix connectors, while an expansion slot accommodates Dante (96kHz, AES67 and DDM ready), MADI, Waves or SLink cards for up to 128x128 networked I/O. Every one of the 16 outputs can be configured as mono or stereo zones, or set up with dedicated speaker processing including x-over filters, delay, limiter, parametric EQ and All-Pass Filters for driver alignment. Input channels feature 8-band PEQ, dynamics and delay processing, with EQ ganging modes (Relative, Absolute and Mirrored Controls) for streamlined tuning across multiple zones. The front panel screen and four programmable SoftKeys provide hands-on control for volume, source selection and preset recall, while IP1, IP6 and IP8 remote controllers extend control across larger sites. Local 2x2 GPIO and networkable GPIO interfaces enable relay triggering and automation, with TCP/IP protocol support for third-party control systems.
