PreSonus StudioLive Series III SE 16R Compact 18-Channel Digital Rack Mixer

PreSonus's StudioLive® SE 16R is a compact 1U digital rack mixer engineered for live sound, in-ear monitoring, recording, and livestreaming. Built around 16 XMAX-R recallable mic preamps and FLEX DSP Fat Channel processing, it delivers studio–grade EQ and compression across every input and bus. The unit's Milan–certified AVB networking integrates seamlessly with the broader StudioLive Series III ecosystem, making it an intelligent choice for touring rigs and fixed installations that demand networked audio infrastructure.

Signal path specifications are professional–grade: mic preamps offer 0–60 dB gain control, 65 dB common mode rejection at 1 kHz, and a 94 dB signal–to–noise ratio (20 kHz bandwidth, A–weighted). Outputs reach +18 dBu, while the headphone jack delivers 100 mW per channel at 60Ω with 96 dB SNR. Six configurable FlexMixes, two dedicated FX mixes with stereo returns, and six DCAs provide comprehensive routing flexibility. Connectivity spans 18×18 USB 2.0 recording, onboard stereo SD card capture (up to 32 GB SDHC), and per–channel source switching between analogue, USB, SD, and AVB inputs. The unit operates at 32–bit floating–point internal processing and weighs just 3.9 kg.

Virtual Soundcheck with Capture software enables offline mixing and playback workflows, whilst Universal Control and QMix–UC provide wireless mixing freedom from any position. Standalone, monitor mixer, interface, and stagebox modes address varied applications–from a front–of–house position to a monitor engineer's personal mixing rig.
