The Aria 2 is a hand-built British valve condenser microphone engineered to deliver warmth, clarity and character across vocal and instrument recording applications. At its heart sits a proprietary 34mm gold-sputtered large-diaphragm capsule developed exclusively for this model, delivering a smoother, more open sound with balanced mids and detailed high-frequency extension. High polarisation voltage circuitry provides increased sensitivity alongside a low 17dB A-weighted equivalent noise level, while natural compression helps sources sit comfortably in the mix without additional processing. The mic features a cardioid polar pattern with a frequency response spanning 20Hz to 20kHz, switchable pad (0dB/-10dB) and 75Hz high-pass filter for controlling low-end rumble. A European-made 12AX7/ECC83S valve drives the signal path, with upgraded internal circuitry maintaining output impedance at or below 200 Ohms and maximum SPL reaching 135dB at 0.5% THD. The included SPS-2 power supply connects via 8-pin cabling and operates on 115/230V mains power-no phantom power required. The microphone measures 230 x 55 x 55mm and weighs 750g, with an internal shockmount and discrete direct stand mount included. Premium black finish with engraved badges and golden accents completes the aesthetic, housed in a ruggedised ABS flight case with laser-cut foam inlay.
