Teenage Engineering's EP-136 Sidekick is a compact mixer built for flexibility across setups. This desktop–scaled device pairs two stereo channel strips with a third auxiliary input, USB audio interface functionality, and a colour LCD display that puts all controls within arm's reach. The form factor echoes the wider EP Series aesthetic—utilitarian, space–conscious, and designed for musicians who value hands–on control over size.

The core signal path accommodates 8 channels in and 4 channels out, with 48kHz / 24–bit processing and signal–to–noise ratios reaching 108dBA on outputs. Two independent effect engines with expressive controls and a tap–fx sequencer™ let users shape tone intuitively. Dual channel beat–match functionality suits DJs and electronic musicians, whilst switchable EQ modes toggle between DJ and studio profiles. Powered via two AAA batteries or USB–C, the unit weighs just 300g and measures 240 mm wide, fitting easily into cramped desks or live rigs. A pressure–sensitive force pad and high–resolution mod stick provide tactile parameter tweaking.
