The Sound Techniques Jude is a dual-channel discrete microphone preamplifier that recreates the sonic signature of the original 1970s Sound Techniques console preamps used at studios including Olympic and Trident. Warm Audio has reverse-engineered the topology to deliver the same transformer-coupled Class A circuitry that defined British rock and folk recordings of that era. Each channel features fully discrete signal paths with no integrated circuits in the audio chain, relying instead on hand-selected transistors and custom transformers wound to original specifications. Both channels offer continuously variable gain from 20dB to 70dB, plus a 20dB pad switch for high-output sources. The transformer-balanced inputs and outputs use CineMag USA-made transformers that replicate the iron core saturation characteristics of vintage Marinair components. Front panel controls include polarity reverse, 48V phantom power, and an 80Hz high-pass filter per channel. Output connectivity includes XLR and TRS jacks on the rear panel, with parallel outputs allowing simultaneous feeds to recording interfaces and monitoring chains without additional splitting. Features  Dual discrete Class A microphone preamps with no ICs 20dB to 70dB continuously variable gain range per channel CineMag transformers on inputs and outputs for harmonic saturation 20dB pad switch for line-level and high-output sources 80Hz high-pass filter with switchable bypass per channel 48V phantom power with LED indicator per channel Polarity reverse switch on each channel for phase correction XLR and TRS output jacks with parallel operation capability
