The JBL BandBox Trio is a portable practice amplifier and speaker that combines real–time vocal and instrument separation via artificial intelligence with a built–in mixing console and effects processing. Designed by Harman's consumer audio division, it addresses a fundamental problem for solo musicians, home recordists, and rehearsing bands: the need for independent control over different sound sources without requiring a full band or external mixing hardware. The AI–powered isolation engine stands as the device's defining feature, allowing players to strip backing tracks into constituent parts on the fly.
