Misha Mansoor and Jackson Custom Shop luthier Pat Campolattano designed this Limited-Edition Baritone Surfcaster® to capture the vintage offset silhouette whilst punishing those lower tunings with clarity and punch. The 30" baritone scale length delivers articulate low-end definition without muddiness, whilst the roasted ash body paired with quartersawn caramelized flame maple neck increases resonance and delivers that prized worn-in feel. Stainless-steel jumbo frets, Luminlay® position markers, and an Army Drab Green nitrocellulose lacquer relic finish over white underscore the instrument's uncompromising performance-first design.
Bare Knuckle Juggernaut pickups power the signal path—paired in HH configuration with a 3-position toggle switch, 500K volume and tone potentiometers, and a Hipshot® fixed bridge that anchors the baritone's focused string response across the 1 11/16" bone nut and 22-fret span. The Speed Neck profile measures 0.790" at the 3rd fret, tapering to 0.850" at the 12th, offering comfortable access without sacrificing structural integrity. Gotoh® locking tuners and a dual-action truss rod with wheel ensure stability across extended lower tunings, whilst Dunlop® Straplok® hardware keeps the instrument secure during performance.
The 20" fingerboard radius and jumbo stainless-steel frets accommodate both complex rhythmic passages and articulate soaring cleans without string buzz or frequency loss. Hand-rubbed urethane gel neck finish and nitrocellulose lacquer body construction reinforce the master-built pedigree, ensuring tonal resonance and durability across touring schedules and studio sessions alike.
