Adam Sub 2100 21.5" Active Subwoofer

ADAM Audio subwoofers are designed with one primary goal in mind: Achieving absolute accuracy and an authentic natural sound in the process of music reproduction. All ADAM subwoofers feature both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) input/output connectors and comprehensive control options that allow for adapting to different room acoustics and requirements.

All ADAM subwoofers feature a level control (-60dB to +6dB), phase switch (180°) and a variable upper frequency control (50-150Hz). For the satellite outputs, an 85Hz high pass filter can be switched in to block frequencies below 85Hz so satellite speakers can meet the Dolby® recommendations for theatre sound and also to relieve the satellites from the lower frequencies. In addition, you can either switch on/off the subwoofer manually or use the option of automatically powering up the subwoofer whenever it receives a signal (‚signal-on/ continuous').

ADAM’s main monitors were especially developed for larger studios and control rooms, where exceptional high sound pressure levels are required in addition to sonic excellence. The S5X-H and S5X-V combine ADAM innovations in the field of transducer and amplifier technology with higher volume and more prominent dynamics. Maximum precision is still the goal of all efforts at ADAM, not the commonly expected and produced but often disproportional bass performance.

ADAM has developed the unique Sub2100 subwoofer for the special requirements of large control rooms and studios. The Sub2100 combines a huge 21.5" woofer and an amplifier capable of 1000W continuous power housed in a bass reflex enclosure tuned for reproducing frequencies down to 18Hz. The sheer power and extremely high efficiency (99dB/ W/m) enable this system to produce linear SPL peaks of ≥128dB without any significant compression.

Essential to the volume of this woofer is the gigantic 6” voice coil, which is the largest worldwide. Equipped with this voice coil, the Sub2100 is capable of reaching the highest SPLs in the lowest frequencies that can be perceived by the human ear. On every level, the Sub2100 establishes a new benchmark in subwoofer technology.
